The breeze fumbles gently with long, emerald blades, dancing them among the flints of a magnificent being. Mink-soft pelt of ivory radiates a soft gleam 'neath the merciful solar rays, while long banner of pearl grazes the earth as she paces the edge of foliage, a troubled look taken to her delicate features. Graceful pistons swept the loam quickly, pace increasing as does her worry. The graceful and poised unicorna was not normally one prone to such negative thoughts, but circumstances most certainly called for it.
The Queen of Neutrals paused her movements for an instant, delicate crania raised to the heavens. The call of an eagle resounded throughout the valley; Anstice could tell it was almost as agitated as herself. For this disturbance had swept clear throughout the lands; Lights, Darks, Neutrals alike. And the equines were not the only ones on edge. Lately, the unicorna had noticed wolverines grumpier than normal, hares flightier than to be expected, and many songbirds had ceased their morning greetings. Even before news had reached the Queen and her clan, Anstice knew that there was an imbalance in the works of mother nature.
Several suns prior, a runner from another clan had come bearing a message. The fae had been surprised, to be put lightly. Never, only under completely necessary circumstances, did the clans mingle as such. But this news was necessary. Almost frighteningly so.
The element of Earth... How could it simply vanish? And where to? Was it even recoverable? So little was known, and Anstice felt that she should know. And so she paced, thought, paced, thought, until daggers were so worn and aching that the fae was forced to stop and rest. But she did not settle or graze, for that small, nagging feeling probed her, telling her that a piece of her, of the lands, was missing, and something needed to be done.
When she felt hat she could no longer cope, Anstice snorted softly and two-beated off into the foliage. Banner flagged, tresses flying, boa forming an arc, the snow-swept femme's amber lanterns darted from for to pine, huckleberry to fern, searching for her Chance of Time. Talking with him always managed to calm her nerves. Hopefully this time would be no different, for the Queen's nerve was certainly dwindling.

Chance of Time's orbs searched for the forest for the delicate bodice of his queen. Uneasiness tugged at him, making him feel uncomfortable. Where was the element of Earth? How could it vanish Just like that.. Gone. Was it impossible to recover? Or was there hope of finding it again? It lent him a great restlessness(sp?). He had to do something, but he shouldn't. He should wait to talk with Yvonnet and the other royals of the alliances.. Shouldn't he? Because surely they had a plan, even if his mind was blank. He searched the corners of his thoughts.. Was there some hint, a clue? Or had earth vanished without a trace?
The neutral lord saw a flash of brilliant ivory, and Anstice's mink-soft pelt between the trees. He started forewards at a trot, muscles rippling under his russet hide. He slowed to a walk, and then a halt before the beautiful unicorna. She was looking quite destressed, which was unusual for her.. She usually had such a dreamy, easy manner, nothing bothered her. His twin occuli searched her auburn ones. So she, too, was worried about it. Auds twitched. He must be strong for her, and all the other neutrals of the land of Mystical Vibes. Crest arched, head bowed, he walked towards her, stopping beside her.
"What is troubling you, m'love?" he asked, tones soft. He already knew what was troubling her. Chance touched his maw to her milky one, orbs searching hers. Did Anstice know anything? A great love for the beautifull unicorna welled up inside him, but he knew that he had to ask her. He was growing more restless, the feeling of helplessness enveloping him.
The wind sturred the long jades, as they were towards the light half of his kingdom.. His and Anstice's kingdom. Their palace. He nuzzled her, nipping gently at her milky tassles.
"You look tired." he said softly. Was the work of ruling the neutrals taking it's tole on her? Should he be of more assistance? Thoughts spun around in his brainpan. Earth.. Anstice.. Yvonnet... What was happening?
(sorry for the shortness and badness... LOL.. I had a really little amount of time.. But I think we should do a post to leave claiming..)

Her heart warmed, amber eyes took on a bit of their old sparkle as Chance came to her. She leaned into his touch, rubbing her dial against his silken copper nape. Her thoughts settled once again as she sighed softly, giving a small, yet slightly melancholy smile. For a few moments, she let herself forget about the lost element, of what should be done, of everything. And so, the moonstruck fae simply stood there in her king's embrace, trust enveloping her very being. He was always there fer her... Even when she was in such a flustered state of distress.
Anstice drew away, scanning his eyes with her own, sensing the distress through his confident demeanor. A soft, dreamlike smile touched 'pon her features, alighting the darkness that had crept upon it with the news. It wasn't as if she was just a bystander for this event, either, for it greatly affected her. She felt the pressure of this condition taking a toll on her energy, and suddenly she felt drained.
"I am tired..." Anstice managed a small chuckle, shaking her ivory forlock from side to side. "What is troubling me... Is the missing piece of the puzzle that makes up the lives we live here..."
The femme's voice seemed to drag out at the ends, a bit exausted from her fretting. She was not very well practiced at worrying, so did not know how to do so properly. She could not help but feel a slight bit of amusement from that thought.
"I feel so helpless..."
Such treacherous nerves... Aiding you one instant, deserting you the next. Anstice closed her vibrant windows, sucking in a deep breath. The breeze toyed with tresses of pearl and ivory, cooled her thoughts, refreshed her mind. At least this element still remained... But what of the missing one? The unicorna knew not, she could only hope that someone out there did. Someone who could aid them in a time when they needed it most.
((haha, mine isn't ll that wonderful either... Um, I don't exactly understand what you mean by 'do a post to leave claiming'. We're not in claiming...? Sorry.. ^^'))

(OOC: Hmmm.. At least I didn't leave...)
Chance of Time nuzzled gently at Anstice's silky, ivor coat. He nipped gently at her milky strands, trying to comfort her. Audits flicked and twisted, catching the blessed tones in which the fae coated her words. The puzzle peice. The peice that they must find. Had to. Needed to. He shook the thoughts from his mind, savouring the slay-bell tones of his queens vocals.
He felt tired, weary. He must help in some way. But he couldn't. That was the hard part. Wanting to help but not being able to was draining him of energy. He would go out and look around his lands, but still the only energy that charged his muscles was the nervious, possessed, energy. Had to. Wanted to. Couldn't.
His ebonite whipcord curled 'bout his hocks, warding off a pesky fly. Twin hearers caught the high pitched sound of a yapping coyote. But apart from that, the lithosphere spoke to him no words. The silence was beggining to feel eery, as though the land was trying to give him some clue about finding the element of Earth, but could not speak to him, could not tell him. A silent, unnoticed clue?
"I feel the same. I cannot focus on anything, nor will the thought leave me. But Yvonnet might know something."
His tones were tired, but a spark of happiness had clung to an edge of them, a happiness that only touched him when he saw Anstice. Chance tried to sound reassuring, but found himself doubting his own words.
Chance pressed his maw to her pearly locks, trying to comfort her. He began to gently groom the fae, muscles in his neck working as he made his way towards her withers. He felt a warm wave wash over him, sweeping away his uncertainty, lessening his doubt.

((I'll give it another go...))
Like the birds to air, fish to stream, Anstice felt at home here, more than anywhere else she had ever lived. Even her home clan, where she had been borne and raised to the graceful equine she was today, was never really home. An elusive place, this, though it was bright as day when it was found. And for a single moonstruck unicorna, home was most certainly where the heart resided.
To think such a blessed place wink into nonexistance, blinking out like a star in the moonlit skies. Their planet was just one among billions of others; the universe had no reason to spare them. But... This was home, and with a home came the desire to defend it; even if defense ment sacrificing yourself. It was meant to be this way, so that every meadow, every forest, every ocean, had its own guardians, and the world would retain its everlasting beauty.
The fae lifted her delicate crania, feeling a rush of emotion take her. This was home, this was her life, here with this loving stag all her own. And no matter the change, no matter the circumstances of this strange disturbancy, she would not give it up without a fair fight. They had to find this element, had to push 'til the bitter end even if death was inevetible. Such was her duty as Queen, to protect or die trying.
Anstice sighed softly, allowing lids to flutter shut and tensed muscles to relax once again. She leaned into his touched, savoring every moment of his attentions. She gave his sleeks ebony mane a tug in return, a small hint of playfulness winking in her russet eyes.
"Then perhaps we should pay Yvonnet a visit? Perhaps he could offer some insight, as we seem to be rather disconnected from the happenings in these lands."
Her apex tilted back to catch his eye, giving a soft smile. Her expression held some inquiry, some genteness, all trust. Whatever they decided, they would decide together. As one, not as duce. No other way was there to reach a comperable decision. Ivories grazed along his copper crest, almost unconciously, as the femme allowed her mind a chance to wander. A bee buzzed somewhere in the distance... Would it find any pollen? It was a little early for the fuzzy insects to be out and about.

Done
Warm emotions flooded through him. Love, hope, restlessness, longing.. Love was owned by Anstice. Hope was what she gave him. Restlessness was what the missing element caused him to suffer. Longing. That was to find the element, and.. Something mixed with Anstice.. What was it?
Could they find the element? Did Yvonnet know anything? What should they do?
Thoughts popped up, spinning round in a flurry of confusion in his brain. But for now, he was with Anstice, his love, his lady, his queen... And that she would always be. Though the thought lingered over him, like a dark raincloud, love for Anstice concored and he could forget, for just a second, about the lost element.
Chance of Time's tense muscles loosened, relaxed, at the unicorna's soft touch. Appendages positioned square, ebonite plume positioned about his hocks. Slim, coal-tipped acoustics twisted and pricked.
Now was for him and Anstice. For them alone. And no-one could take this from them. No-one.
The thought of the lost element swooped over him, once again causing him reslessness, helplessness, longing. Like a hawk diving for a mouse, it washed over him when he was relaxed, calm.
Earth. Earth. Can we find it?
The words beat a pulse in his head, rythmic, aways there, never faltering.
A low, rumbling nicker vibrated from his chest, and he arched his crest, contuing to work down Anstice's neck, grooming her gently. His flicking audits caught her words, and they made great sense.
"I agree. Shall we ask to meet him in the Equine Councel Grounds?"
Tones were strong, but with a soft edge, and a.. a touch of longing. For the element. That was what everything meant know. Element. Earth. That was all that mattered, it seemed. Except Anstice. She mattered.

Orbs of chocolate, pistons and pelt of ivory, tresses of silken elegance, all of her, was made up of this one missing piece. So why did she feel so elated? Why could she suddenly drop all other aspects of life as she knew it? Simply for the one she cared for, the one she longed and would give her very soul for. She felt so binded to life as a Queen, and yet, her spirit still meandered throughout the creeks and eddies of this blessed land, as it would for seasons to come. Whether past, present, and the unknown and doubtful future, her sould would remain here, even if the course of destiny forbade it.
This is home And this is home This is home
A slip of the mind allowed Anstice to remain in this alter reality for just a moment longer, to savor this strand of carelessness for a wrinkle in time. Her mind was foggy, thoughts in a jumble, trying half-heartedly to grasp the meaning of Chance's words. But that dreamlike part of her wanted this to remain, for reality did not please it in the least. It fed upon her dreams, emotions... All the aspects of her that could not seem to come in contact with all that was real. The sun, the glades, the creatures of existance, none of that seemed to matter. Just this wakeless dream, drawing her in, beckoning in its sweet cajoling words, to come and never return...
I'm going crazy A little at a time And everything I wanted Is now driving me away
But here was her life, her love, standing right before her. No, she could not abandon the one who would give it all for her, the one she loved. This dreamworld was appealing in every way except... It did not include a certain Chance of Time, and any world that left him out was no world for her. She needed him, more than she had ever needed anything in her entire life. And so she nodded, gracing those around her with a smile light as the morning star.
"Yes... I think, maybe, they just might need our help as much as we are in need of theirs."
Anstice gave a small chuckle, hesitantly detangling herself from his flame-hued locks and stepping back. Long ivory banner swept the earth and lightly stirred the debris of the forest 'neath it. She began walking north, toward this place where they might just find what they longed for. What they needed to hear in order to resume their lives once again. Anstice had no care as to what it might take, if she could just restore the place in her heart that meant so much... The place often refferred to as home.
I woke this morning To the sound of beating hearts ((So sorry for the massive delay.. My mom took away the internet so that she could network her laptop. ^^' Oh, and I do not have the password to access the Equine Coucil Grounds, so...?))

(ooc: I'll msg it to you. You post, kk?)
The stalks of jade played in the light wind, twitching, sending a rippling wave of emerald over the land. The carefree wind skimmed over them, sneaking through the tree's upper branches, whispering secrets to them. A bird twittered his song, the notes choppy. Missing something. All was fine except the unicorna of ivory hue and the brute painted auburn. They stood there, in a dreamlike trance. All the rest of the word was going fast forewards. But they were stuck. Because they could only move forewards, away from the past, if they had the missing puzzle peace. The element of Earth.
The chocolate brute was still. Ebon tinted tresses waved in the breeze, along those of milky white. Every strong, rock-hard muscle under his mink soft pelt was relaxed. It was okay. Nothing was wrong, he told himself. And for a second he could beleive that. But just a second.
Earth! his thoughts screamed, but they were somehow disconnected from his body. It was so tempting to fall deaply into the dreamlike trance. It's okay. Nothing's wrong. Your not needed. Relax. But no! Anstice needed him, and he needed her. And they must find the missing peice of the puzzle. He must. Must. Chance of Time reached, reached out of the trance. He was standing before Anstice now, fully alert.
Auds flickered at her words, and he dipped his dial in agreement, coal locks bouncing. He picked up a steady jog, moving after her. Twice step gait lengthened until he had caught up with Anstice. Chance of time then slowed the beat, moving down to a walk. Apex bobbed lightly, and his hide skimmed Anstice's for just a moment. And his life was no longer stuck, at least for now. Because they were doing something. The restlessness was ending. They were going to see Yvonnet, side by side.
(Really bad, but there you go!)
